The number of internet leads a real estate agent needs varies dependent on experience, skill and how occupied the agent is with other business. Our leads have been successful with giving new real estate agents business, making experienced agents top producers and keeping teams of buyers’ agents busy. We have seen successes and failures of many different real estate agents.

In the beginning, a new real estate agent who is not too occupied can easily handle 10 new leads a day and will be able to work them well. However, once they get going and these leads start becoming clients, then the number of leads the agent can handle greatly diminishes. Instead of phoning and emailing new real estate leads all day, the agents are occupied showing homes, writing up contracts and negotiating deals. There will be days where there is just no time to work any new leads. In addition, they not only have new leads to work, but they have old leads to follow up with as well. As long as real estate agents are working their leads, the old ones, as well as the new ones they don’t need very many to be full time real estate agents based on leads alone.

As a Supplement to Existing Real Estate Business

We find that 5-10 leads a week is a healthy amount of new leads for active real estate agents who have other business going on. When busy real estate agents have more leads than this, they generally fail to work the older leads any longer and simply wait for the “gimmies.” As long as busy Realtors make the time to work their 20-40 leads a month they will average an additional closing every month. Simply having one new internet lead a day has the potential to take an average agent and turn them into a top producer.

For Full Time Buyers Agents

We have also seen success with brokerages who use their leads specifically to keep full time buyers agents busy. These agents focus exclusively on leads. These agents perfect the system, and work leads for hours every day. Full time buyers agents, who just work internet leads can effectively work 50-200 leads a month, and can have several closings each month, ALL from leads. One full time buyers agent in Salt Lake had nine lead closings in one month.

If you subscribe to our “pay per lead program” then you can have as many leads as you want, or can just cherry pick the easy ones. To be in our “referral program“, we expect you to work the leads to our minimum standards. When you are really “working” leads, there is a limit on how many you can effectively work with each month. We provide our brokerages with reports that show how effective each agent is working their leads. This can help brokerages or office managers know which agents are committed to their leads, and which agents have room to receive more.
